Černá Růže is a historic shopping passage in the heart of Prague, linking the busy Na Příkopě boulevard with Panská Street. The destination combines everyday shopping with a distinctive piece of interwar functionalist architecture, making it more than a conventional retail stop. Prague City Tourism identifies the passage as a protected cultural monument and highlights its glass-block vaulted ceiling and galleries, designed by functionalist architect Oldřich Tyl in the 1930s. Today, Černá Růže hosts a varied mix of shops and services spread across its floors.
